Gratitude is the Best Attitude!

I believe it is fitting that “Gratitude” is the topic for my very first blog, because I am grateful to be where I am right now. Personally, I am grateful to be blessed by God in so many ways large and small. I am grateful for 360 Degree Health, PLLC and the awe-inspiring people who work so hard at giving love, care, and nurture in the best way they know how. I am grateful for you, the readers, for opening your minds and hearts to the offerings we share.

Life is not perfect. Stress, worry, alarm, and upsets are part of my daily grind, too. Tasks run late, budgets run short, and meetings run long. And indeed, the world and the people who claim to run it have disappointed me, again. Yet, I am human and I can forgive myself and others for these shortcomings and whole-heartedly express gratitude. Why? Because I am aware that the alternative: ungratefulness, is too damaging, too costly, too self-destructive, too bitter a fruit to choose.

An attitude of gratitude can close my eyes to finding faults with me, my circumstances, and other people and can open my eyes to the tools and skills required to building a better future. I cannot change the past, and I cannot change you, yet I can change my attitude right now. An attitude of gratitude can fill my mind and soul with satisfaction and thankfulness about gifts already received, and the hope of gifts and better tomorrows yet to come. An attitude of gratitude can reinforce my being, my belonging, and my knowing that I matter to others. When I change my attitude to one of gratitude I can feel love on all sides, in the same way as when I feel warmth on all sides when I sit in the sun.

Love is about serving the beloved. Know that to the people that make up 360 Degree Health, PLLC. you are beloved. We care about you! We are grateful for each of you. That’s why we do what we do. We are here to help you live healthier, happier, and wealthier lives. Period.

Practical suggestion:

"Gratitude is like a muscle...the more you use it, the stronger it grows!"

- Alan Cohen

Try one or both of these suggestions:

- Start each day writing down 3 new things you are grateful for

- Next time you're feeling disappointed, choose to feel grateful instead: stop, take a deep breath, and write down 3 things that you are grateful for at that moment
